offers the feeling of revisiting the article in a future moment, which like a mirror looks different depending on the perspective from which one peers through it, and the quality of one's intention. Nice portrait of and tribute Mr Gallagher, embedded in and containing martial lived martial transmission. Thanks for the peek. :)
Sam, This is a wonderful story of learning and practicing at a high (teaching) level. It's especially great for me, as I know some of the players. I remember Helen Chung demonstrating Chen style soon after she arrived in Canada--then she injured her knee and had to take it easy for a while. This article also gave me a much greater appreciation of Brien's depth, both as a human being and as a teacher. I remember him being quiet, almost curt; but he was direct, looked you in the eye--sometimes with a twinkle. When my wife and I learnt the 24 form with Liang Shou-Yu, he was formal, serious and used practically no words--just showed you. Best wishes, Michael Szasz.
Really nice. Sam… can I learn Sun style? 😅
What a wonderful story my friend. Thank you for sharing it.
A very beautiful and emotional sharing

Your style of teaching carries on their legacy,a great way to honour them and a great gift to us
That's a beautiful story. A lot of wisdom in there.
Great teachers are a blessing. I'm lucky to have one.
